
First attempt at making Pavlova :D... turned out quite nice ... crusty outside and marshmellowy inside... really nice ....its just a bit dissappointed that the whipping cream wasnt quite set.. :( just because i decided to mix two different brand at last minute .....
Ingredients:
For the shell :
4 egg whites
1 cup castor sugar
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
Topping:
1 cup (240 ml) heavy whipping cream
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
and fresh fruit (im using strawberry and kiwi)
Directions:
Preheat oven at 130°C (yehaa.. just found out how to type degree symbol :D) Thx Google -
Beat egg whites on medium till soft peak, add in sugar gradually until hard peak then fold in vinegar and cornstarch...
baked for 1 hour 15 minutes using baking sheet on a tray ... when it's done open the oven door and leave it to cool down ....
